The Monsters Now Have a Soundtrack
Until now, MutaRift's background music was simple arpeggios generated by Web Audio API oscillators. Functional, but… let's be honest, not exactly atmospheric.
This week, we created three BGM tracks with Suno AI and integrated them directly into the game.
Tracklist
1. Cosmic Patch Notes — Main Title (lofi chiptune, dreamy)
2. Got a Leather Chair — CEO's Office (comedic fanfare, absurdly grand)
3. Fluorescent Overtime — Office Lobby (tense lofi, under fluorescent lights)
We're planning to release these as an OST album eventually, so we're tracking every track in a TRACKLIST.md with original titles, tools used, and usage notes.

Three MutaRift BGM tracks created with Suno AI
Technical Changes
The existing SoundManager only supported oscillator-based BGM. We added registerFileBgm to load and loop WAV files via Web Audio API's AudioBufferSourceNode. The old oscillator BGM still works as a fallback.
Press Any Key
Browser autoplay policies block audio until user interaction. So we added a PRESS ANY KEY screen to the title — once you press anything, the BGM kicks in and the menu animates into view.
Studio Splash Screen
We also added a splash screen showing The Moved Mover Studio logo when the game first loads. Click or press any key to skip.
What's Next?
More scene BGM (battle, boss, nodemap, shop)
Dedicated CEO boss fight BGM (separate from the office theme)
Finishing the remaining 12 enemy sprites
